Tatsunobu Kitao Galleries

Tatsunobu (active mid-1700s) included pictures of flowers and (or) birds in several woodblock-printed picture books. The titles of two of these books are shown below. Click on a title to see the book's pictures. Typical of eighteenth century Japanese artists, Kitao used a semi-accurate drawing style strongly influenced by Chinese art.
